Assorted Dan, Take your Pick

Some more pictures from Carolyn, thanks again.

We are all individuals.  Unless you mess with our toys.

An actual smile, he's a good lad.

Quilt fort!

Must blog that.

Not looking too jet lagged, just in time to come home...

I have my tickets, shame about the type of people you get in first class nowadays.

Deep thought.

I am an international

These pics were taken by Dan's aunt Carolyn and I thought I'd add them to the collection.  They include such classics as 'wow do I look tired', 'playing with trains monitored by uncle Paul' and 'I don't trust the fish pond but I'm completing a safety inspection for Jake and Tom'.

Excellent pictures, thanks Carolyn.

Jacqui & Dan Travel to the Homeland

Here are the first pictures of the bird and the monster stomping round the UK.  Thanks to all family members for the taxi and hotel services, it's much appreciated and I look forward to seeing you all at Christmas.

In this collection we have Dan fast asleep in the morning after being up for large chunks of the night, days 1 & 2 :)  And very excitingly Tiger Cat with Dan in classic nature spotting pose.

Ahhh Alberta

A: That's right, three inches of snow.

Communications Update

Our little genius is now communicating with us, this is both good and bad.

Today I was told that I had done a 'Good job daddy' upon correctly identifying a train.

Then again he also proclaimed that a gorilla was a 'Funny guy' so the scale may be dubious at best. The obvious Canadian slant on some of his phrases is obviously concerning too. His inflections for hippopotamus for example, are midatlantic if I'm generous.

But communication is happening and this is making things more interesting if not easier ;). Also vague grasping of time makes negotiations and explanations better. I can explain that I'll be back to pick up either in two hours or later and they work well and stop tears.

He knows his numbers up to about twenty and his uppercase letters and everything in the world about trains :)

However some of his words are completely unintelligible no matter how often and how loudly they are repeated. But generally talk good.

Full on concentration

I have this. It's all about perspective.

Stay on Target

I have mastered the wobbly path, soon the green spiral will be mine!
