We R Canadians Eh

Well it`s official we have survived an Albertan winter and we have a certificate to prove it. This was presented to Jacqui on our behalf by the good folks at her company. And who says Canadians don`t have a sense of humour.

Banff Trip Pics and Stuff

We went down to Banff with Angie Tony Ian and Lorna and had a great time, appart from the back end of my cold annoying me.

Ice and snow at the Banff museum.

Think this one's called big pointy

Not a bad view

The skiier in all her gear

..and now in motion. Note the fearsome concentration. Out of shot several crash barriers just in case.

View from the top of the new gondola at Lake Louise

It's a shame I was not able to ski but I think that now Jacqui and I are at a similar stage for our next trip so that's all groovy. Thanks to Ian and Tony for giving Jacqui impromptu ski lessons, she can plough with the best of them now. We also went for a walk back through Johnston canyon which is still pretty but was packed full of people on the bank holiday weekend, something to remember for next time.

Anyway it's time for me to wander out and clear compacted snow with my shiny new shovel, I get all the best presents.

Day 2 at the Gymn

Well I managed it, and managed to do a bit more than yesterday so I sit here a tad too warm letting you know, probably should have had a shower first :) I also obtained brown and demerara sugar for my ongoing quest to make good cookies, hopefully the quest will continue a while yet, give the gym a chance to take the lead.

Soon I should be uploading the pics from our last trip to Banff, it was really pretty. Next month we should be going to Jasper, we're really getting into the weekend breaks over here. I think it's helping that I'm driving more here than in the UK, the complete lack of traffic jams outside the cities might be helping too.

New Day New Dawn

Today was the first of the rest of my life.........ooh very dramatic, dun dun dunnnnnnnnn!

This morning I got up with Jacqui and went to the gym, yes indeed the actual gym. And tomorrow I shall do the same, oh yes it shall be so. (Please note it may not be so)

What Fun

Well that was all a bit rubbish. Basically I've had a flu type thing since Tuesday and last night (Saturday) was my first full nights sleep since then. I've been too hot, too cold and too snotty but at last it's beginning to pass. Not fully better yet but it's amazing how much better a good nights sleep makes you feel

Tuesday 5 February 2008

You get knocked down....

..and you get up again.

Did not get the first job, the mind's doing its wonderful thing though and now I'm kind of glad I didn't. It would have been a relatively stressful job and there are more interviews on the horizon. I still want to get a job, at least that's what you can tell Jacqui :) In fact I have another interview today so it's all groovy.

And this is post 101, wow I did not think I had that kind of staying power, almost been doing this blog for a year go me!

P.S. watched the Superbowl on Sunday, it was ok, four hours of programme and one hour of sports, come back Match of the Day all is forgiven (except Jimmy Hill)

Even more interviews

This will be ther last post on interviews before I actually get an offer or a job, it's even boring me writing them. So yes I have more interviews for jobs that I am looking for in my ongoing search for a larger TV. The world of capitalism is a strange one.

This weekend we have pizza night with friends on Saturday and beer night with the superbowl on Sunday, nice one.
